Welcome to Durham University Mooting Society

We are the home of mooting at Durham - a form of advocacy where participants argue on points of law in front of a judge.

Law and Non-Law students are equally welcome!

What is mooting, and what does our society offer?

Mooting is where participants act as barristers and argue over points of law in front of a judge. It's great for aspiring barristers or solicitors, as well as for anyone getting to grips with the law.
